Harvest Event Saturday 20th October 2018, 1pm - 4pm

Yes folks, it's that time of year again!  Dig In are holding our annual Harvest event day on Saturday 20th October, 1pm - 4pm.

If you like the sound of homemade cakes, soup, freshly pressed apple juice, pumpkin carving and other activities, please come along to the allotment to join us.
We have a marquee, polytunnel and other shelters to huddle under if the weather's a bit iffy so don't let that deter you!

We're always looking for new people to come and share what's on offer at the community allotment so why not use this as an excuse to see what we do?

Come and celebrate the Harvest with Dig In, we'll be pleased to see you.

Sponsored walk/ride

We had unexpectedly good weather for the annual Dig In sponsored walk & bike ride last Sunday.
There had been a weather warning forecast just days before, but on the day, it was warm & sunny.
Thank you to the walkers, cyclists and those who sponsored!

If you would like to donate to raise money for Dig In, please drop in to any of our sessions.  We are open on Wednesdays & Saturdays from 10-12.  Just ring the bell or toot the hooter on the gate.

Big Lottery funding via Awards for All has meant that we could offer four family sessions on Wednesday afternoons, plus a community planting session. Here's some photos from our fun sessions!

A big THANK YOU to all who attended our Strawberry Cream Tea event on July 7th.

There was a slight clash with the England football team playing in the semi-finals of the world cup, but thankfully a lot of visitors still came to our event.  This meant that the Dig In volunteers didn't have to eat lots of scones, jam & clotted cream!
All of the volunteers helping out really enjoyed your company and the games on the lawn seemed to go down well with the young/young-at-heart visitors.

Strawberry Cream tea at Dig In

Come along to Dig In on Saturday 7th July from 1pm - 4pm for our summer event, a Strawberry Cream Tea with games on the lawn.
There will be a marquee just in case the weather's either too sunny or unkind to us!
Please come along for a lovely afternoon in our peaceful oasis and support your local community allotment.  Entry is FREE!

Wednesday session

A lovely time had by all at Wednesday's session.  There was a lot of laughing going on and a little bit of work!!!

The flowers in and around the sensory beds are looking fabulous at the moment!

In fact, the whole site is looking really good.
