First day of Summer 2016

A bit chilly for June!  We put the polythene panels back into the polytunnel today as there was a cold wind blowing and the tomato plants in there are looking a little ill!  I don't think they like the cold draught.
We had two new volunteers with us today, Karen & Sam from the local Nottingham Building Society/Estate Agents.  They got stuck into some path weeding which was very good of them and they made a fantastic job of it too.  The paths are looking great where they worked - there's just a whole load more to do folks!  Hope it didn't put them off.
Liz had a good digging session on the large bed next to the herb bed, and the rest of us cleared red mustard and spinach, which had overwintered in the polytunnel, to make way for courgettes.

Nice work Liz!

Onions looking good
